TRT Young Journalists of the Year Competition Clarification Text within the Scope of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) No. 6698 (Full Age)

As the Turkish Radio-Television Corporation (TRT), we would like to process your personal data in order to complete the competition application processes and to announce the results, to carry out the organization, transportation, accommodation, award ceremony and payment processes, to promote the competition on television and radio channels, internet sites, digital media, social media accounts and to prepare a photo book as a promotion in the Young Journalists of the Year Competition to be held. It is one of our most fundamental duties to inform you about the data we will process. We process your personal data in accordance with the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“PDPL”). We process the following data of you within the scope of the relevant activity.

  • Your identity information (Name, surname, age, gender),
  • Your contact information (Phone number, e-mail address, address),
  • Your education information (Educational status information),
  • Your financial information (Bank account-IBAN information),
  • Your image and audio recording information (Photo, video),
  • Your accommodation and travel information,
  • Project, project’s name and information from which branch you are participating in.

We process the personal data transmitted by you automatically, through the program we use, within the scope of the data processing conditions stipulated within the framework of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, “It is necessary for the institution, usage, or protection of a right“, “It is necessary to process the personal data of parties of a contract, provided that the processing is directly related to the execution or performance of the contract”, “It is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not harmed” and “the explicit consent of the data subject”.

We share the personal data we process with the organization and transportation company, the relevant hotel, the bank, the printing house and our units in order to make the promotions of the competition, to carry out the organization, transportation, accommodation, award ceremony and payment processes, to promote the competition on television and radio channels, internet sites, digital media, social media accounts and to prepare a photo book as a promotion . We do not transfer your personal data to irrelevant and unauthorized third parties, except for the specified issue.
